Summer on the Island
Trade Paperback Release
After the death of her US senator father, Marlow Madsen travels to the small island off the coast of Florida where she spent summers growing up to help her mother settle the family estate. For Marlow, the trip is a chance to reconnect after too long apart. It’s also the perfect escape to help her feel grounded again—one she’s happy to share with friends Aida and Claire, who are hoping to hit reset on their lives, too.
A leisurely beachfront summer promises the trio of women the opportunity to take deep healing breaths and explore new paths. But when her father’s will reveals an earth-shattering secret that tarnishes his impeccable reputation and everything she thought she knew about her family, Marlow finds herself questioning her entire childhood—and aspects of her future. Fortunately, her friends, and the most unlikely love interest she could imagine, prove that happiness can be found no matter what—as long as the right people are by your side.

News & Newsworthy
SUMMER ON THE ISLAND hits bookstore shelves TODAY! I don’t know if I’ve ever been this excited about a release. Finally being able to go out on tour has made it a real celebration. Do you have your copy? If not, I hope you’ll grab one and escape to my fictional island.
Every May we do a box filled with my favorite things! We’re doing a southern twist since an autographed copy of THE SOUTHERN SIDE OF PARADISE by Kristy Woodson Harvey (our May book group read), a tea towel with the saying, “Mind your own biscuits and life will be gravy,” Southern Biscuit Mix 11 oz and Souther Peach Jam from Southern City Flavors. Three more items will be revealed soon!
Our third signing was in Houston, and it was wonderful. The Barnes & Noble in Brentwood went above and beyond in welcoming me and my readers. They even purchased a huge bouquet of flowers for me! I owe a huge debt of gratitude to the readers who joined me. This store now, too, has a large selection of my books (signed). If you’d like to get one, just call (713) 349-0050.
Arizona will always hold a special place in my heart because I grew up in Chandler. Thank you to John Charles and The Poisoned Pen Bookstore for making Scottsdale such a great stop on my SUMMER ON THE ISLAND Book Tour!
The Poisoned Pen now has a selection of my books, signed. If you want to support this wonderful indie bookstore, you can order SUMMER ON THE ISLAND — or a different title — right here. You could also call (480) 947-2974.
What a great way to kick off the tour! I had so much fun visiting with my local readers—and those who traveled from Sparks, NV, Truckee, San Diego and other places—at the signing at Barnes & Noble in Citrus Heights. They still have some signed copies of SUMMER ON THE ISLAND in hardcover and trade paperback if you want to order from them. Just call (916) 853-1511.
I have THIRTEEN stops on the SUMMER ON THE ISLAND Book Tour in April, and I really hope you can join me at one or more stops to share in my excitement about this book (I think it’s my best yet) and help support the Independent Bookstores we’ve partnered with. We will bring in a local dessert shop and have some giveaways to make it a party!
