Auction Awards

ribbonMost Valuable Editors:

Kate Duffy of Kensington Books, who donated FIVE proposal evaluations, one COMPLETE manuscript read, a lunch at national, and Editor for a Day.

Hilary Sares of Kensington Books, who donated FIVE proposal evaluations, one COMPLETE manuscript read, a lunch at national, and 32 sets of autographed Noelle Mack Aphrodisia books.

Their attitude and generosity has been unsurpassed!

ribbonMost Valuable Agents:

Michelle Grajkowski, who donated an evaluation with a 24-hour response, an evaluation with a follow-up lunch at RWA National, and a Meet & Greet at National along with her client Cathy McDavid. She has also generously offered to play back-up should anyone else flake out on me. What a woman!

Donald Maass, whose evaluation went for so much he generously agreed to double the amount by doing a second one.

ribbonMost Valuable Publisher

Harlequin once again holds this spot. They donate money to help cover expenses every year, and a whole slew of their fabulous editors take part. This year we even had Randall Toye, Vice-President of Series, take part!

ribbonMost Valuable Authors:

This one was really hard to decide, hence the list. Each of these women went WAY above and beyond the call. They not only donated special, expensive items--they promoted the auction and most of them shopped in it, too!

  • Allison Brennan
  • Susan Wiggs
  • Debbie Macomber
  • Jane Porter
  • Sherrilyn Kenyon
  • Dianna Love
  • Mary Buckham
  • Heather Graham
  • Cathy Clamp
  • C.T. Adams

ribbonMost Valuable Category Coordinator:

Lauren Hawkeye. Lauren not only volunteered hours and hours of her time to load all the pictures in the auction, she sponsored Lauren Hawkeye's Treasure Trove, which had 150 items! Then she bid, bid, bid on all the items other people had donated and won some really great stuff!

ribbonMost Valuable Bidder:

Mary McCoy. Mary placed nearly 2,000 bids over all and won the prize package that included the camcorder.

ribbonMost Valuable Promotor:

Christine Feehan. Christine sent more people to the auction than any other single source.

Margie Lawson. Margie not only donated some fabulous items (like that amazing flying getaway), she talked up the auction every chance she got and sent a lot of shoppers my way.
